can access the historic Ceva-Ormea line, today a tourist train accompanied by a
cycle path along the Tanaro, the Bicitalia 15 "Svizzera-Mare" Cycle Route
connecting the Roero to the Ligurian Riviera, and the climb that leads from here
to Colle di Nava, on the border between Piedmont and Liguria.

Routes from Ceva and the surrounding area
The Tanaro Cycle Route (Priola, Garessio, Ormea, Ponte di Nava)
For families and those looking for a peaceful ride. Approximately 26 km, almost entirely flat and largely on asphalt, following the course of the Tanaro among springs, fountains and shaded rest areas. Minimal elevation gain: also suitable for those travelling with children or those not looking for strenuous effort. It runs alongside the historic Ceva-Ormea railway, which can now also be travelled by tourist train.
Ceva - Colle di Nava (on road)
For those who love climbing. Approximately 51 km, with a final continuous climb of around 18 km up to Colle di Nava, 934 metres above sea level. Starting from the historic centre of Ceva, the route climbs through Val Tanaro, passing through Bagnasco, Garessio and Ormea, up to the mountain pass overlooking the Ligurian Alps.
Caprauna Loop, Colle San Bartolomeo
For those looking for dirt tracks and panoramic views. A cycle touring route between Piedmont and Liguria, suitable for MTB and gravel bikes, winding through the woods and ridges above the Arroscia Valley. It can be completed in a day, starting from the Ceva area.
Towards the Alta Via del Sale
For more experienced bikers. From Ceva, you can travel up the Val Tanaro to reach, over several stages, the network of routes of the Alta Via del Sale, the ancient military and trade roads that run along the border between Piedmont, Liguria and France, today among the most famous mountain cycle touring destinations in Italy.
